Elder Noah Smith is the youngest son of Mr. William Henry and Rosie Lee Smith of Ashford, Alabama. He was saved at the age of 16 during a revival led by Elder Willie W. Matthews in the Church of God by Faith, Ashford, Alabama.  He began his “By Faith” training under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Smiley and District Elder Willie W. Matthews.  He was first appointed on the deacon board, then chairman.  He served faithfully during whatever his hands could do.  Some of the officers are as following:  Deacon, Chairman of Deacon board, President of the Church Choir, a member of first District Finance Board of the Alabama District, and Chairman of the District Finance Board.  He was called to preach the word in 1963.  While attending the Church of God by Faith ministerial training, he served as Assistance Pastor at the Church of God by Faith, Ashford, Alabama and worked faithfully across the Alabama District helping to build churches.  Pastor Smith became as ordain minister in 1976. In September of 1977, he was appointed pastor of the Church of God by Faith, New Brockton, Alabama.  Then in December 1977, he became ill with Gillian-Barre Syndrome. Over the next two and a half years, the Lord blessed him to walk again and return to work.  Again, he worked with the Church of God by Faith in Ashford, Alabama assisting the Pastors where needed.  The Supreme Council of the Church of God by Faith Inc. appointed him pastor of the Full Gospel Ministry Church of God by Faith, Dothan, Alabama in December 1998. Under Elder Noah Smith’s leadership, we relocated to 211 South Ussery Street in 2000.

Elder Noah Smith retired from Pemco Aeroplex Inc., Dothan, Alabama in the Maintenance Department (Electrician) after 44+ years of service. Elder Noah Smith retired as Pastor of Church of God by Faith, Dothan, AL in December 2019.

He has been married to Mary Graham Smith for 51 years. He has 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
